Lumeus works well with coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Give your agent three things: the Lumeus skill, a Testnet key, and these docs in a format it can read.

Set up in one prompt

Sign up at app.lumeus.dev. The onboarding screen shows a ready-made prompt that already contains your new Testnet key. Copy it into your agent. The prompt has this shape:
Setup is complete when the agent makes its first request with the key. The dashboard shows that request live.

The Lumeus skill

The skill is a single Markdown file at https://app.lumeus.dev/agents/lumeus/SKILL.md. It describes the four products, their hosts, keys, free Testnet and Mainnet credits, error codes and retry rules, and the common tasks with working requests. It defaults to Testnet and asks for your confirmation before any Mainnet transaction. To install it as a skill in Claude Code, save it into your project:
Other agents can read the same URL directly, or keep a copy in the project’s agent instructions.

Docs in agent-readable formats

Every page also has a Copy page menu that copies the page as Markdown or opens it in ChatGPT or Claude.

OpenAPI documents

Each API host serves its own OpenAPI document (version 3.0), without a key. Point SDK generators and agents at the host and network you use: The RPC document types every method’s result as a component named after the method with a Result suffix (getHealthResult, getEventsResult, …), and each method page has a Result table.

Keys for agents

  • Give an agent a Testnet key (lum_test_...) first. Testnet is free: up to 10,000 requests a day per organization, reset at 00:00 UTC, with no credits used. Past the cap, Testnet requests return 429 rate_limited until the reset. Credits are for Mainnet.
  • Use a read key (access: "read") when the agent only needs data. Read keys cannot send transactions or change keys and billing. See authentication.
  • Set expires_at on keys you create for short-lived work.
  • Keep keys in environment variables or a secret manager, never in code or prompts you share.
  • For a frontend the agent builds, use a browser key instead of a server key. Browsers block server-key responses on every site except the Lumeus docs and dashboard, so a server key in a web page fails with a CORS error.
